I'm one of the users who likes to keep my work area free from distraction and I keep my System Tray as empty as possible.

If "Minimize to System Tray" and "Enable the ability to log new tasks from within other applications" are unchecked, is it possible to not have the TodoPaper icon in the System Tray at all when a document is open?

I've already told the Taskbar Properties dialog to "Always Hide" TodoPaper's System Tray icon, but if I ever need to expand it the system tray (to access the volume control or something), I'll have to consider the unwanted icon as I look for whichever system tray icon I really want.

I know this is a picky request, I appreciate the consideration.

I understand where you are coming from. I used to despise system tray icons as well. I am considering your request and have it in my to-do list for the next release.

I am planning on enabling a preference to hide the system tray icon. (It would remain hidden unless Minimize to Tray is enabled, and the application is minimized) If anybody else has any comments on this, please feel free to chime in :)

Thanks for your comments, David. Please let me know if you have any more suggestions!

David,

You'll be happy to hear that the default behavior has been modified in TodoPaper 1.0.8. The system tray icon will only be present when minimized to tray.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Thanks! I got 1.0.8, and have a cleaner System Tray. Ahh! You've been very responsive, I appreciate your considering a change like this. (I even more so appreciate your changes to Quick Logging, which is now much more useful.)

I'm glad you are enjoying the app. These changes made a significant improvement on the quick log functionality, and I appreciate your comments to get us here. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for ya!
